ABOUT
CV

My name is Daniel! I'm a playful communication designer from Norway using co-design to uncover real needs and create solutions that genuinely improve people's lives and the planet we live on.

I’m driven by a desire to tackle complex issues. That is why, after a decade of freelance work, I'm now doing a Master's in design. My past experience honed my visual skills, and combined with human-centered methods and a playful approach, I contribute across the full process: from research and facilitation to visually strong solutions. I have a big passion for inclusive & universal design, and I’m training to become an expert that creates work that's beautiful, functional, and inclusive for as many as possible.

What
Through a mockumentary newspaper feature with symbols, art and fashion, the story of Screenheads is told; a fictional subculture exploring the challenges of youths and their relationship to technology, identity and success.

Who
Self initiated speculative design project.

How
I read the leading scientific literature on subcultures to understand how they emerge and function. This provided a world building methodology which I used to create characters, music, videos, art, writing and fashion. My written dissertation also explored how subcultural theory could be applied to designing visual identities.
