My name is Daniel! I'm a playful communication designer from Norway using co-design to uncover real needs and create solutions that genuinely improve people's lives and the planet we live on.
I’m driven by a desire to tackle complex issues. That is why, after a decade of freelance work, I'm now doing a Master's in design. My past experience honed my visual skills, and combined with human-centered methods and a playful approach, I contribute across the full process: from research and facilitation to visually strong solutions. I have a big passion for inclusive & universal design, and I’m training to become an expert that creates work that's beautiful, functional, and inclusive for as many as possible.

What
LP design for the album Everything Will Be Ok – an eclectic mix of neo-classical and electronic music exploring themes of love, death and apocalypse.
Who
Island Records UK and the artist Askjell.
How
I used pictograms as a reference to humanity's earliest storytelling, evoking a feeling of discovering an artifact from a lost civilisation. The audience is invited to interact and find meaning through cut-outs, absurd imagery, and rebus-like sequences.
When playing the LP, you can see an animation of the earth turning.
Prior to the design of the LP, I worked on the artist’s visual identity. I interviewed him about his creative vision and studied the visual identities of other artists in his genre, to help differentiate him. Here is an excerpt from the brand guide.
